I'm Maria and I am a self-proclaimed flour child...well, a sugar child really. My sweet tooth and my love of baking started as a very little girl. I have been creating custom cakes both professionally and personally for over 30 years.
In 2012, I opened Sugar, Refined. We are a fully licensed, inspected and insured bake shop just outside of Gainesville, Florida.
Opening my brick and mortar shop was very important to me. Creating beautiful and delicious cakes is not just my passion, it's my career and it's my business. I'm not a home baker and your wedding cake is not my hobby. I'm all in. Are you?
